Shakespeare

MOOCで受講中の"Shakespeare and His World" がものすごく面白い。

The course of MOOC, "Shakespeare and His World" by prof.Bate is so interesting I can't stop watching his lecture videos. Heaps of eye-openers about Shakespeare and lives in Shakespean times! Though I've got lots of words whose meanings I don't know, I can still find enjoyments of learning new facts about Shakespeare's early lives and early educations in his birthplace, about his family and theatre and lots more going on. It is fascinating too, to hear the professor read some of Shakespeare's lines aloud during the course. I've heard someone say,"Shakespeare is to be heard, not to be read", which is hard for us to realize when we read in Japanese translation, sorry to say. Anyway, isn't it fantastic to learn something new however long you are away from school?
